Official Press Release
Hot off the sellout of its first issue, Marvel is proud to present your first look at Hawkeye & Mockingbird #2 from the fan-favorite creative team of Jim McCann and David Lopez! After their reunion, Clint and Bobbi are back in action and tackling crime together! However, they are not alone with two of their most dangerous foes back for vengeance - Phantom Rider and Crossfire! And that’s not all! Everything that Hawkeye and Mockingbird are fighting for could be compromised by one dirty little secret. Packed to the brim with romance, action and intrigue, Hawkeye & Mockingbird #2 is an issue you can’t afford to miss!
Marvel is also pleased to announce that Hawkeye & Mockingbird #1 has sold out at Diamond (though copies may still be available at retail) and will be going back to press with Hawkeye & Mockingbird #1 Second Printing Variant! In this bombastic first issue loaded with arrows and action, Jim McCann and David Lopez have put the band back together and fans are clamoring for more!
“This series deserves a long and entertaining run.” – James Hunt, ComicBookResources.com
“…when it comes to Hawkeye and Mockingbird #1, let's just say that with humor, action and some smooth retelling of the Marvel mythos, Jim McCann and David Lopez have definitely scored a bullseye.” – David Pepose, Newsarama.com
“There's some definite friction between the two leads, friction which should develop into interesting stories as it moves forward.” – Brian Joel, IGN.com

|
|
This is my cover(s) for the Hawkeye & Mockingbird/Black Widow cross over : WIDOW MAKER. I was asked to draw the covers for H&M#7 and BW#9 that would be used as single covers, but also create a 2 part image put side to side. I had a hard time figuring how to connect the two fighting scenes together, so I went with the big red shadow gimmick I used on my Green Hornet covers. I worked on the negative spaces to create an overall design that would be dynamic and visually appealing.
Hope it works.
Check out Jim McCann's blog for more infos about that 4 issue cross over:
